Just wanted to post some pics that I took this morning with my brand new camera and one close up lens set that is very near and dear to me...

These first ones are of Jasper, my brand new butter corn that I got at the San Diego Reptile Expo. He is an '08, about 6 weeks old to my understanding and measures a giant 13 inches! (lol) I didnt try for any real close ups cause I didnt want to bother him too much by taking him out of the tank.

Then we have some new pictures of Kate. She is an 07 (October) Snow, and I havent measured her lately cause she doesnt want to be measured. She just shed about a week ago and I am noticing that she is starting to get some yellow in on her sides! You can just see it in the close up.

this is the first camera that I have had that showed colors accurately. They are almost exact.

What works for me is measuring them at the same time as I feed. I have a old ruler that went in an old daytimer. I've marked it with a heavy Sharpie, so that I can use the SnakeMeasurer software program. It's worked out really well for me.

Example... he's much larger now :)

quick up date. I used that snake measuring program on pictures of Jasper and Kate and heres what I came up with...

Jasper: 11.5 inches
Kate:18.1 inches

Does anybody else think that Kate is a little on the small side? (8 months)
