Jaundice???

Ok so i got Powder out of his viv this morning and noticed that he has some very slight yellow lines down his sides from his head to about 1/3 of the way down his body and also so yellow outlines around his spots.

I was wondering if snakes can become jaundice I don't know enough about their biology to know wondering if anyone could shed some light on this. Unfortunately I dont have a camera capable of picking up the discolouration and I know that their colours can change as they grow up overtime. He's a late 08 Snow and should be due to go in blue any day now.

Is this worth a trip to the vets or is it something harmless???

No. There is nothing wrong with him at all! Let me dig up a pic of my 08 snow to show you he's doing the same exact thing. It's just his color showing through,

Cory, what you have is normal yellow coloration coming through on an anery a based morph!

Congratulations!

There are quite a few examples in the photo gallery of the yellowing of snakes with similar genes. Look for Anery, Ghost, and Snows, and you should see plenty of examples of similar markings.

No need to go to the vet... And the yellowing can be quite pretty!

Sound like your snake is going to have some lovely colors as he grows! The fellow in my avatar is a snow stripe motley. As you can see, he's got quite a bit of yellow. It started just the way yours is. Enjoy!

What's going on is perfectly natural. For comparison, here's a picture of my snow, Luci, about a year ago.

And here she is a few days ago.
