Juan not eating

I got Juan on 8/17/13 and he ate 2 f/t pinks on 08/20/13. On 08/27/13 he weighted 25 grams. He is still not eating, I am starting to work through the list of what to do. How worried should I be? I am scared but not sure if I should be at panic mode yet.

What I have done so far.
1. Got Juan on 8/17/13 and first feeding on 08/20/13 I fed f/t pinks. Where I got Juan from was feeding live.
2. Move Juan to school
3. Moved Juan into his own habitat (no more share as this forum advised)
4. Have not handled Juan for one week.
5. Tried feeding tonight and not eating. Left in plastic pencil case with holes punched into the lid, 4 rubber bands holding it closed. In a tube of dark paper to make sure Juan is in the dark with a pink. Placed Juan in habitat in case ( to avoid escape).

If Juan does not eat I am going to have someone pick up 2 live pinks for me. I have to drive 100minute to get and bring live food to Juan.

Any Ideas would be greatly welcome.

He may be blue, which means he is going to shed soon, and many snakes won't eat for a few days before they shed.

I would just hold off food for a few more days and see if he doesn't shed. He will have a dull look to his body and his eyes will be a cloudy blue color if he is blue.

Before you go trying to feed live, try "braining" the F/Ts, slitting them open so the smell of blood entices him. Also try using a pair of forceps to wiggle the pinkies in front of him so he thinks they are live.

Let us know how this goes.

The first time you fed him, did you feed live?

I'd feed SUPER HOT, slit. As hot as your tap water will go. Covered, etc. If he doesn't eat after an hour, covered, no bothering him or peeking, I'd go ahead and pour boiling water on the pink and see if he takes that.

If not, you don't want him to stop eating, so I'd go ahead and get live, but let him get good and hungry before the following feeding, say seven days, and try very hot again. I don't think you need to go through the scenting list- he likes pinks, he just likes them live.

HE Ate

He ATE last night. THANK you all for the ideas. Maybe being in a classroom where there are over 100 students everyday he just wants to eat in a small dark place.

THANKS to you all.
