just a quick question

I know that female corn snakes should be over 3 feet, at least 3 years old and over 300 grams to breed, but what is the perfect weight for a female to be bred to? I like to get mine to around 500 grams, should I increase or decrease their weight? Or should I keep them at 500 grams? Does a greater/ smaller weight make a difference when breeding?

Weight isn't so much the issue as muscle tone.

500g of flab is more likely to result in problems for the female than 280g of healthy muscle mass.

i only got them a couple of days ago and i am afraid to say they feel a bit soft so some toning to be done.

Apart from the stairs is there a good way to tone them up, am thinking of swimming them in the bath every day or every other day...

suggestions please..?

Baitman they should like a round top loaf of bread... Square on the bottom and sides with a rounded top side....
