Well, the down payment has been recieved, and I was rewarded with pics! I got a few late Chrismas cards that took MUCH of the sting out of the price...
The seller has been an ABSOLUTE DOLL through the whole thing. He was ok with holding them for me...for a month!! I offered the deposit. He said he thought I sounded like someone who would care for them as they deserve...and that it was a slow time of year to be selling anyway. Apparently he origionally got them from this guy~> http://www.kingsnake.com/donpatterson/
I only know whats on the webpage. He seems pretty good. :)
Anywho...
First up is the female, I just love the markings on her head!

The bottom two are the Male. I love the markings on his head too :D
The more I see of these guys the more excited I get:crazy01:...and I thought that you folks would enjoy some pics.

So pretty! Definitely my favorite of the boas. I'd like to have one someday...hopefully soon! They look pretty big, what year are they?

You're naming them Trident and Smiles, right? Yeahhhh, you are.
I immediately thought Trident as well. Either that, or Raphael, after the Ninja Turtles character who had a weapon shaped like that (if I remember correctly :D).

Gorgeous! Can't wait to get mine. Looks like with the freezing weather it will have to wait until Daytona to get it!

Oh wow, these guys are gorgeous! They're going to make fantastic late Xmas presents. I can't wait to see more pictures of them when you get them :)

ANYTHING that comes from Don Patterson, is QUALITY.

I've been doing some research, and this seems to be true! Its nice to hear it, and the animals really do speak for themselves.

jlindp: They're '08's. The female looks quite a bit bigger than the male, no?:D Its hard to tell from pics though...I cant wait to meet them in person! lol

RobbiesCornField: Thanks! I'm so happy...I has a shiney! (...or i will soon.:p)

ZoologyGirl: They are a beautiful species aren't they? I was blown away the first time I looked at photo's of these guys.Thank you for the compliment. :)

MegF: I cant wait until you get yours either! lol...tell you what? I'll trade pics of mine when i get them for pics of yours when you get them? sounds good to me!

Michael823: no worries, thanks! lamo, i grew up on TMNT, thats a GREAT suggestion. But the markings are on the female...and i just dont want to give her a boy name. If i ever want to breed them, i wouldnt want to confuse the poor girl! lol :p

Pepper: I dont know about trident, although it cirtenly is fitting, hey? :D

I already had a name all picked out! I've been thinking Imbrium for the female (its the name of the sea of rains/showers on the moon, or part of it anyway) and Iridium(pronounced like the beginning of iridescence) for the male (its the 'Bay of rainbows' and the NW part of 'mare Imbrium') I like how they both go together as names, although they are kind of a mouthful. I'm still thinking, but so far these are the two contenders. If i were to breed them, i could stick with the lunar theme....:p

Thanks EVERYONE for viewing, for commenting, for sharing my excitment. This is a VERY big deal for me, and represents the largest financial investment in a pet in a long time. I have no regrets, and am spending my time before I get them to read everything I can find, get my hands on, or whatever to learn more and more so i will be well prepared.
Its nice to have people to share this moment with, the best I get from the family is just a 'uhhh...thats nice dear'. lol

They are GORGEOUS!!! I really hope that they have a baby girl BRB at Repticon this weekend cause I would absolutely LOVE to have one of my own :D

Rosie: Trading pictures is about the cheapest snake "sale" I've ever made! You gotta deal!

Have fun with them! I fostered a BRB rescue while she got over a URI and she was a great patient! I've never known another snake so tolerant of injections. When I see pictures like these, I sorta wish I'd kept her.

Katherine, You are absolutly right! This christmas was a very...functional Christmas (nothing wrong with that, but its nice to have a real TREAT) so these are my gift to myself with the money I was sent...lol...although my Gram is totally horrified by snakes. So she'd probably be less than pleased...I'll just tell her I got new underwear :lmao:

Daenerys, Thanks so much for the compliment. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. From what I can tell these guys are enjoying a bit more spotlight as of late, so perhaps luck will be with you. :)

Oren, thanks so much! I really value your opinion, Mr. Boa. You've got some amazing animals yourself! ;)
I'm just over the moon with this whole process. The snakes look wonderful, they come from an amazing source, and the current keeper is a WELL respected member of the local Herp Society. I feel very lucky.

MegF, now all you have to do is get yours on the go! lol...sometimes the waiting is ALMOST as much fun as the auctual pickup. That way you get to plan all the details!

Wstphal, they look pretty special, dont they? I'd never seen anything like it. I cant wait to see it in person...I've been told many pics dont do justice. I'd immagine something like a living soap bubble. lol :D

Thanks so much for the views, everyone! The only thing better than good things is sharing them. :)

I love BRB's, I wish I felt I had the time to properly care for one. I'd get one in a heart beat. But I will just live vicariously through all of you who have them.
