Just when....

E. g. guttata

Her name was Mary-9/17/05
Just when you assume the worst about your clutch, Lance Armstrong wins Tour #7 and pippies show themselves!

This recent clutch of mine has had an interesting incubation and now I have pippies that I thought would never come. The first four neonates to emerge are as follows:
1 normal (possible okeetee candidate)
2 amels (definate reverse okeetees)
1 snow (possible pink and green)

Still pipping:
2 amels
1 normal

Eggs still "un-pipped":
26

For those of you who aren't the best at math, that is a clutch of 33 eggs. This female of mine only laid 14 eggs last year, so that gives you an idea of how nice she was to me this year.

All snakes from this clutch will be het amel and 67% pos het anery, if not already expressing the trait. But this is the Photo Gallery, so now it's time for me to shaddap and show off the pippies!!!!

Wow, that's one productive snake!

Does it look like she's going to double clutch as well?

Well done.

Nope, no double clutching with her. She lost a lot of weigh this time, and I made sure to keep her from being anywhere near a male after the clutch was laid. If this clutch would all pip at once, it would be nice though, they're takikng their sweet time to pip one or two at a time. Grrrr.... lol
