Kauket - Then and Now

StormRose

Looking for Marbles
She finally shed! She's been really stubborn about this one, and it took longer than it usually does for her to work it off.

I took her out for some pics now that she's in her new skin.

Here's a then and now. :D

She's my girl. I love all my babies, but I Kauket is really special to me.

I can't believe she's all grown up. *sniff*

Next year will be her first breeding season and then I'll have her babies to fall in love with. :D

Beautiful snake. Absolutely lickable.
Anne, this is a hold up. Don't make any sudden movements and no one will get hurt. I am afraid that I am going to have to ask you to hand over that snake. ;) :D

No way! I am prepared to defend the honor of my girl! lol

She's a normal het for lavender. She'll be paired up with my beautiful lavender boy next year for her first breeding.

I'm still learning all of the genetics, but I'm working really close with a friend who's an experienced breeder (and does pundit squares in his head for fun). He assures me they'll make beautiful kids together. :D

Food!

I just pulled a good picture off my camera and thought I'd share.

Kauket is my reluctant eater. She went through a non-eater phase when she was a hatchling and ever since she has to be convinced that she really, really wants to eat the mouse. She sniffs her food, rubs all over it, and generally plays with it until she gets bored and finally strikes.

This time she missed her first strike and it ticked her off so much she turned into a little python. lol
