It's that time of year...when kittens are EVERYWHERE. As cute as it sounds, those of us in rescue know that it's also a time of exhaustion, stress, TONS of work, mess, and heartbreak.

My first batch of foster kittens was adopted last week, and I just picked up this fellow two days ago. He's got a friend coming soon so that he's not stuck all alone. He is RIDICULOUSLY cute. As someone who sees a LOT of kittens every year...he's the second cutest one I've ever fostered. (The first being the one I kept, of course. :p)

Meet Admiral Applesauce! (His friend kitten will be Colonel Crumpet)

He's got little spots where it looks like he tried to grow wings. :)

He won't latch onto a bottle properly 3/4 of the time, but he latches beautifully onto fingers or blankets or t-shirts.

He's willing to have a go at that 'solid food' stuff, but he's not too sure about it yet.

I think this guy is going ot get snatched up the instant he is ready for adoption.

I just got a kitten from the shelter and they had tons of kittens there too. What a cute little guy!
 
Oh my GOD that's cute! Cuteness overload! He'll help get you through some of the tougher stuff this season for sure.

Have fun with the second one, Cathy! We're going to be triaging it shortly. Momma was so feral that this little guy's gone kinda feral as well. But I know that if anyone can tame him, it's you. Fluffy fat gray thing.

Awww, I can't wait to meet Colonel Crumpet!! :D I dunno if you remember how feral Priscilla/Paizly was when I brought her home, but I was afraid of her at first (Scariest 1.3lbs I've ever encountered) and she tamed down darn well!
 
Hey Cathy, Crumpet got vaccinated yesterday. Are you able to keep 'em separated for a week until Applesauce can be vaccinated?
