Leopard Gecko question!!

I thought it might be ok to post this in the general chit chat forum. I have a leopard gecko as well as a corn. I was wondering if anyone knew ofa forum like this one but for leopard geckos instead? Or maybe just some good websites that can answer some questions. I have googled leopard gecko several times but I have not had much luck finding a sight with any more informations than your standard care sheet. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. If this should not be discussed on these boards then I apologize. Thanks for any help.

What kinda questions do you have?

I have been wondering about whether his wet box needs to be placed on the cool side of the tank or on the warm side of the tank. He used to stay in it alot but now he hardly goes in it, if at all! I wonder if it makes the moisture too warm or something.

Also, I know that leopards aren't supposed to have a diet of mealworms only but my gecko will rarely eat anything else. The OCCASIONAL cricket but that is about it. I dont want to give him digestion problems.

Another thing I have wondered about is substrate. A friend of mine said he uses sandbox sand as a substrate for his adult leopard gecko. I have read somewhere that this is okay for adults but I still have my doubts. Anyone know anything about this?

Laanxx,
Feeding, i would try a few different things. All my leos eat a variety of foods. Main staple are Crickets, but I give them Meal worms, some superworms and wax worms. I have one little piglet that wants to be hand fed everything. He is just to much. :D
Another food to try, is Silkworms. there are a few places online that you can order from to try. I would google them and see what you get.
Here is one site http://www.mulberryfarms.com/
they have a variety of foods.

As for substrate, I use Reptisand on all my lizards. Now if you have a wee tiny lizard, I would use paper towels. I am with you, I have heard to many horror stories with regular sand. And I had to put down one of my first lizards to a bad case of impaction.

For the hide, I would place it in the middle of the tank between both sides and see how he handles that. I personally do not use one of those, I mist spray once a night in the tank. I do a nice mist, not to heavy, just enough to perk up the humidty.
