Leopard geckos?

I haven't posted in a while, but i figured this would be a pretty good question for me to ask on here.

My sister wants a pet and sense I got my first corn snake, Rick, in early January, she has started seeing reptiles as a possibility. She is 11 and I did research on good starter lizards. (mom won't allow another snake) And found that many people recommend leopard geckos. My problem is, I do not seem to have access to nearly the amount of information/reliable information as I seem to have for my corn snake. I am finding it hard to find definitive information, such as temps, size of enclosure, types of food, amount of food, bedding type.

All of these things are widely debated and i am just wondering what your thoughts are. We are in no hurry and want to be as prepared as possible.

(My sister has taken part in all research and is just as excited as I am to be possibly adding another reptile to the house )

I'd type a lengthy reply if i weren't on an ipad at the moment, but since typing up 20 years leo gecko keeping knowledge would be a pain on it I'll instead direct you to a great source....

Hit up geckosunlimited.com. Find user Elizabeth Freer, she has a leopard gecko caresheet within her user signature. There are a number of posts by her or me (I post as Tokaybyt over there) regarding care and other aspects of keeping leos.

Another good resource is picking up the 1998 or newer versions of The Leopard Gecko Manual.
