What kid of tubs do you have. I saw some interesting ones when I last went to a reptile show. They had I think plexi glass or something similar cliped to the tubs with binder clips i think they are called.

Here's the tops I use. It's just a wooden frame with small wire. Simple!

BaBa-lou, I have the same tubs as Ryan. I use 12 qt tubs.
Ryan, I have the same lids as you but what I'm finding is that my babies are not getting water. (My water bottles are on top - (my hamsters eat the bottles) So how do you make lids so that your babies get water ( hamster babies need water around 1 1/2 to 2 weeks old) Not sure on mice just staterd them 2 weeks ago. But I need to make 1 lid for all some size tubs that works for hamster and mice. Thanks for all the help.

You could make a 1/4" hardware mesh sort of frame that holds the water bottle lower so they can reach it, sort of like the lab breeder mouse cages.

Or you could drill a hole just big enough for the spout of the water bottle to fit through. and hang it on the outside? it's an idea? I've done it to a few of my old tanks. Worked perfectly for me.
