I know it seems I dropped off of the face of the earth recently on this forum. I still own snakes, ( you should see how big Napalm got! ) But this post has to do with something totally un-snake related.

My book is about to be published!

Its a vampire novel and it has no similarity whatsoever to that other story that begins with a "t".

"Deadly Conversations" is written under my pen name D. C. McLaughlin and it will be released for e-readers on smashwords sometime TOMORROW Wednesday the 31. The print version is in the works and will be available for purchase on Amazon.

If you're interested in reading an excerpt, the first chapter is available to read for free on my blog http://deadlyconversations.wordpress.com I also have a facebook page under the same name and a personal page under Devon Claire McLaughlin.

If vampires interest you please go and check it out. If you like it, please spread the news.

And yes, I mention my snake collection in my author bio!

Congratulations. I just read what is on your blog and really liked it. I am looking forward to purchasing it.

A big CONGRATULATIONS!

I am SO sorry that I never got to finish reading the manuscript. It wasn't too long after receiving it that we started making preparations to sell our house, and things went crazy after that. I certainly enjoyed the part I read, though. I am so happy you are getting published! Maybe I will finally finish reading the completed book, even though I was no help to you in getting it there.

Hope you sell zillions of copies!

Thank you, thank you, thank you all!

If you read the book and like it, please submit a review so that I can convert the whole world to....

Ooo dear! Was I starting to cackle? Must be the lack of sleep.

Neat!!! I'm not a *huge* Vampire book fan...they all seem to be the same...I really struggle with vampire/romance/etc...I like my vampires brutal!! However, I read your excerpt and it was good! I would be tempted to read more :) Congrats on getting published!!

I wish I could write...I have so many neat ideas and have no clue where to start. I tend to get long winded and the story loses momentum and just putters to a stop...it sucks =/
