What is the life expectancy of a healthy corn snake? I read in one of my Care Sheets that it can be up to 20 years or more, is this true? i thought id just ask you guys since you know so much about Corns.

Thanks

I think I've also read that if you breed your corns a lot, their lifespans may not be as long as ones who don't since breeding takes quite a toll on the snake's body (mostly in females).
And yeah, 20+ years is not unusual for a corn to live in captivity.

According to the vet and "reptile man" in my area the longest-lived corn is just over 20 years. But they say that almost in disbelief.
They told me with more confidence that that you've done well if you can get 10+ years out of you corn.

You should get 14yrs at least out of a healthy corn, but I say this out of research and not experience.

What IreadI really liked it.Thank you foryour information!
