Light Timer Question

I was wondering if disrupting the light cycle, or having slightly fluctuating on/off times will affect a snake. Nothing major, at the most and hour fluctuation. Does anyone know anything on this subject?

Well what kind of light bulb are you using? I believe that you should use the full light ones if there are no windows around that let in natural light and use the red bulbs just for heat if you have windows around it.

If you dont have windows and are using the full spectrum one then I think you should turn it off at night and possibly switch to a black light at night. As long as you have another source for heat.

If you have windows with the red heat one then you can just leave that on 24/7.

Not 100% sure about that but I think it's right

I would same No.

I have a fluorescent lamp that I use to light the cage from around 12 pm to 12 am at which point i turn on a black light. The problem is that sometimes i cannot be here exactly at 12 so i turn the lights on/off a little early or a little late. I wanted to make sure this wouldnt throw him off or affect his activity in any way.

I turn the lights on my Viv manually in the morning and off around sunset (depending on time of year). Corns are "nocturnal" so you don't need the lights on at night. Light are only for your benefit.
If you were using the red light for heat.... no.

Good Luck

I use UTH but I like lights in the evening so I can see in. The black lights ive seen are like those used in discos to see under wear :)
Do they do different colours ??
