Lighting Question

Two Corns and Growing!
I was wondering whether or not I could use a blue light bulb to simulate night in Diabla's ( my corn) tank. I've heard that people use red more because snakes can't see red so they won't be afraid to come out in the night time. If I could use a blue bulb that would save a lot of energy right now but if red is better for them then I'll go and get it, but if it doesn't make a difference then no.

I use red lights in the evening. My snake doesn't mind, she cruises the same, but she can see the red light.
I don't know how the blue will work out, but the red really messes up the colors of everything.
