Lighting?

What is a good time frame for having light in the room of Chuck (my snake) and having no light, becuase I am gone most of the day at class. But the room has a window so I have been leaving it open so he knows when its day and night. Any help would be great thanks.

As long as he's got a 12:12 cycle of light he'll be fine (12 hours of light, 12 hours of dark.)

you shuld really get a night light and a day light. the day light keep on for about 12 hours then after 12 hours it should be getting dark so then you put in the night light and when you wake up in the morning take the night light b out and put the day light back in and so on and so on.
