Lighting

Okay, the reason I'm asking this is because each site I go to, I read conflicting information. I purchased a UV Light because the pet store told me it would help keep my corn healthy. On some of the sites I've seen, they say not to use the UV Light because snakes don't like the bright lights. I'm not sure what type of lighting to use. I use a UTH so I don't have the red heat light. Any suggestions?

Cornsnakes are night dwellers in the wild for the most part, so
UV lighting is not needed. Lizards like my Bearded Dragon use UV light
but Cornsnakes not needed... most pet stores use "Basic Reptile"
for their info since they handle a bit of everything.. Been there done that when I had my pet store..
I didn't like reptiles, but sold them, so I tried to sound informed..
I now know a lot of the info I got them was JUNK.
