I got some cute shots of Athena, formerly "Petunia", my psycho snake. Since Monty is no longer Monty, and the name Petunia never really stuck with this one, she is now Athena. She's not so psycho anymore, but she is a fiesty and bold one, so she is named after the goddess of war. I did get a tail rattle from her when I moved her tub slightly to get a pic of her with her mouse!

I don't know why, but she eats most of her mice butt first. I keep telling her she's supposed to start at the head, but she doesn't listen. Of course, considering how much trouble she has even finding her food, perhaps she's scared she will lose it again if she tries to find the head to start at. She will literally sit ON her mouse and go crazy trying to find it. This is the same girl who bit herself once when she was in blue. :roflmao:

Then, she can't wait to come out! I have to keep an eye on this one, I'm sure she would become an escape artist if she got the chance. This is the only one of my snakes I wouldn't be afraid for my cats to get ahold of, I'm afraid Athena might actually come out on top in that battle - tho I don't want to find out!

Forgive my asking, but doe Greek Mythology have a goddess for those who are at war with themselves? :grin01:

regards,
jazz

Jazz, I don't know, but I'm not changing her name again. She might get a complex or something . . . LOL

Thanks Daniel, I think she's a really pretty snake, but I may be biased. :shrugs:
