Looking for a Bloodred - please help!

Hello everyone! I am currently facing as dilemma - I live in Ottawa, Ontario. It is a dilemma, apparently, as there seem to be a sad few breeders of corns that I have been able to search out, and the couple good ones don't have any bloodreds, at least currently. I know you breeders are out there - can you hear me? :p jk I'm sure there are, it could be that I am relying too much on the internet instead of asking around. So far, I know Darren in Kemptville who has a great reputation (the originator of the Volcano corn too), Diane & Norm from Dino Reptiles in Manotick...but that's it:( I know there's more breeders out there, because most pet stores here have morphs in stock - but I would rather give $100 + to a breeder than a pet store who jacks up the price and can't tell you about the snakes geneology, and sometimes, don't have a clue what it is! Here is what I am looking for: a brilliant Bloodred. That's it. I loves rich reds, I've seen some real beautiful, vibrant bloodreds, even without the Hypo or Amel mixed in. Even if you don't live in Ottawa, and you think you may have what I am looking for, please contact me. Thank you so much!

Welcome to the forum, Katrina.
Rebecca (user name pgr8dnlvr) comes to mind, first. She is a very nice young woman in British Columbia. But there are lots of canadians here. Lots.

This is her forum.

Well, I guess I am just having a hard time finding breeders close to home. I have inquired about a couple of her beautiful snakes - but $100 to ship within Canada is a little steep, if you ask me, especially considering I won't have the opportunity to inspect the snake in person before purchase - not that I wouldn't trust a reputable breeder, it's just a personal preference. Most of the few breeders in Ontario and Quebec that even have a website that's searchable haven't been updated in a long time, or some sites aren't even up and running anymore. So far, the best I believe is Reptile Rainforest, and this was feeling was reciprocated by a few reptile collectors I have recently spoke with.

If anyone can suggest anybody else in Ontario or Quebec that they know is actively breeding corns, please let me know - yes, there are "lots" of Canadian breeders, but very few that I can find locally, unfortunately. Thanks!

I know you are looking for Canandian breeders but I just bought my bloodred, Napalm, from Nanci of Snickersnakes in Florida and I couldn't be happier with him.

Just my 2 cents.

Whoops! I wasn't thinking about that! Sorry! ( I need to chug more caffeine before I open my BIG MOUTH next time! )

I can't ship internationally either, but I know some Canadians will ship the snake to a location near the border and drive down to get them across. I think as long as you have all your paperwork ready & in hand, you should be able to get them across easily.

If you'd be willing to do this, I have a 2005 1.0 Bloodred het pied (proven). He has produced low & medium expression hatchlings. Here's a photo of him:

If you are interested, just let me know.
