So....it would seem that my little guy Paprikás is feeling very much the MAN. He has been circling his viv, in and out of his hideys, up at the top looking out and about. And yesterday he saw an extension cord near his feeding tank and his eyes just lit right up! Then he refused his weekly meal for the very first time ....it appears he can only concentrate on the needs of one organ at a time.
While I am proud of my big guy, I will be happy when his Spring Fever is over and he eats again.

Yep, Rigby is off his food too. Last year it was about 6 weeks before he would eat again. I made sure to feed him a little generously over the winter because he lost quite a bit of weight last spring.

I was beside myself because it was the first year he was old enough! This year at least I have an idea what to expect, and I know he gained the weight back quickly.

I'm not entirely certain how old Paprikás is, as he was a rescue...but based on his length and weight I am thinking he is at least 3 ish.

So far *knock wood* all of them are eating, even the ones I got sunday that I fed today, they are former breeders but all ate. I have one who turned her nose up today on the hopper but that is supposedly a girl. We will see...

Ravenessa,

I have a few girls that refuse around this time of year as well. Don't worry too much about it, she'll surely get back on track!

lol not too worried yet.. I am out of weanlings so I fed one hopper and one fuzzy (to reach 15 grams) and she ate the fuzzy but left the hopper so she's not starving. Maybe she didn't like the bloody nose?!

Picky girls! lol

So he refused his second feeding, so it's 2 weeks without food :-(
But hey, his mouse had a bloody nose too....maybe next week's fresh clean nosed mouse will be the winner lol....it had better be he's not big enough to pass by too many meals.

Yay!! He ate again....and took a few nice mouthfuls of water....I am a happy momma once again. Plus I may have found him a girlfriend yay!

lol <3 I have one male that refused this week, and the female went back to eating after 2 weeks. Nutty snakes.. crazy snakes.. I can't blame them though.. it's in all of us to want to reproduce I guess..
