Hi all I have a normal that we hatched, it started out with crickets and moved to lizards which are plentiful in the yard most of the year. We have given her pinkies a few times but she doesnt feed as aggressivly as she does with the lizards...........any tips on getting her to "like" the pinkies as she will soon outgrow the lizards

thanks :sidestep:

You can try rubbing the pinkies with the lizards that your snake is used to eating. If the snake smells the lizard it might go for it without even realizing it's actaully eating a pinkie.

First i wanna say i cant believe everyone let the cricket thing slide.

Then howdy neighbor i am just south of brooksville. Be careful using the lizards running around the yard. All tough that is what your little new one would eat in the wild there is a risk of infection or parasites. The senting thing is a really good idea. You can all so try live pinks to get your snake intrested and then switch to F/T.

I have a few W/C corns and have learned a few tips for finicky eaters so let me know if your snake is still being stubborn.

So, why didn't you tell about the crickets :shrugs: Now asbestos still doesn't have a clue... :eek1:

I'll do the 'flaming job' , someone has to do it... :grin01: Corns should never be fed crickets, they don't eat it. If yours did, I think it's very weird it does... I think they just got out/away/died. Did your snake grow?

Probably, but why? I wouldn't, I don't think they have the same nutritional content. Plus does a snake really need a snack? :D
