That's cool. Mine are always fascinated by running or pouring water.

It's only happened once, but mine showed as much interest in me pouring water into the dish as he does when I hang a mouse in front of him. Zipped right over to the water.

Would be neat if he like swimming. Pretty cute video, thanks for posting :)

Amanda ours are the same.. They stare at the water running into his dish like im pouring mice or something - but yet stick em in the bath and they hate it! Wierd.

I'm not sure if this will make a difference but if your using tap water in the bath, that water has chemicals in it which the snake may sense and not appreciate. I use only pure rain water or bought bottled water if I run out of rain water.

Cheers

For the most part tap water is just fine for corns, most of us use it regularly on here. I let it aerate for drinking purposes because we have a fair amount of chlorine but I just let run straight from the tap for Rapunzel's soaks and she doesn't mind it at all.

WE have two or three snakes that adore water...they always go into their water bowls after eating, and generally again when they want to poop (our normal almost always poops in her water bowl...which makes it easy for clean-up)

They soak in their for ages :) Often with their chin resting on the side of the bowl.

How often do you lot bath ur snakes, like in the actual tub? Coz we have only done it a few times just out of curiosity and once or twice when it was taking ages for our corns to shed but other than that I'm not aware that people do it often. Oh and thanks for the advice, generally our own water here in UK is ok, we were told by pet shop that even using it for their water bowls was okay too providing they were not older than a year old and healthy. :) dunno if that's true.

Cute, mine only soak when it gets really hot in the room. My black rats would always soak after a meal though. The corns, very very rarely.

I've never actually bathed mine as he has always had plenty of water even in his indoor enclosure. I was told by my breeder that corns love water and should always have plenty of it as they use it to control body heat, shedding, poos and of cause to drink which is why I have always given mine plenty of it.

The indoor tank we change the water every day but the outdoor tank as an aquarium filter which filters 400lt an hour and seems to be keeping the water clean and clear.

I also have aquariums so this process of thought was easy for me and made a lot of sense.

Cheers

I've actually started bathing mine more often (Weekly/Bi-weekly). I put a towel in the tub, soak it and allow about an inch of water above the towel in the 'deep' end. The towel that's in the 'shallow' end is not submerged. I let the water sit for an hour then put my snake in. I soak them for no longer than 5minutes. Within 5 minutes, they drink and poop. (Another reason we do this, makes handling much more enjoyable knowing you don't have to worry about any 'surprises' on you or the furniture )

I swear both my snakes love it. Neither have ever appeared stressed and/or flailing around trying to escape. My Ultra Anery clearly enjoys it more than my R/O.
She just finds a spot and relaxes, sometimes I put their coconut hide on the towel so they can soak for a few minutes in peace.

Both my snakes have had perfect sheds. Never had any flakiness or stuck eye caps, tail tips, etc. I wouldn't exactly contribute this 100% to regular bathing, but I do believe they benefit some semi-regular soaks! They do not soak in their water bowels either, or if they do, it's at night. But I don't see much change in their water levels so I'm guessing if they do, it's very rare.

Thank you so much for your advice. I think I might treat them both to a warm bath tonight. Not sure if i can create a shallow end and a deep end but then maybe the bath is slightly unlevel - i never really thought about it lol! Last time I bathed our corn, he climbed out using the string on the plug - cheeky sausage! (and water was very shallow so he wasn't struggling just maybe didnt like it) Our 2 adult corns both give full sheds anyway but a bath sounds like something to try and see if they enjoy! :) x
