I asked the seller a bunch of questions about this corn snake and he responded to them all...Those corns are a result of an okeetee het snow and a luecistic texas rat...Check out the questions and answers...
p.s I realized today that I made a mistake when arguing the genetics part...Don't know what I was thinking!?!
If its a mix betten a L. rat and a corn, it's not "het luecistic" that doesn't even make sense. It's a HYBRID between the two snakes, not het one for another.
Does that not sound right? Maybe I am way off on my own genetics. LOL.
Well, since the leucistic trait is recessive, it would be het leucistic, but a tx rat x corn hybrid, het leucistic. Like if you bred an amel to a cal king, you'd have 50-50 jungle corns het amel.
I asked this question a while back...What would happen if you crossed a corn with a leuc. texa rat...no one answered...I didn't know if it was possible...
Yeah, it's het leucistic, and poss het amel/anery. Obviously not a straight-up corn.
I would suspect it won't grow up to look like a normal corn, and I'd be curious about how big it will get and what kind of attitude it has...
To me, the point of that cross would be to work toward friendly-like leucy corns. I don't see the point in buying just one of them though. What's the advantage of it being het for leucistic if you don't have another one to breed it to?
