Market Difference (cost)?

Between a Hypo Lavender cornsnake and an Orchid cornsnake. If both did not carry any hets that would drive up pricing. Just looking for avg market estimates and also availability for this upcoming year (any sellers on here).

Orchids are more rare, so they would cost more than a hypo lavender. Sunkissed is still a very desired trait, however the stargazing gene is a real concern. So finding an orchid from tested lines is going to not only be more difficult, but also probably more expensive.

Any idea on what the cost for a hypo lav would be roughly? Like on here when they are sold, what do they typically run for?

Do you know of any breeders who may hatch them out this year and time frame?

I would think a hypo lavender would be $80 or less. You should see if Steve Roylance has them- he's hatching right now and he has hundreds of hatchlings.

I've got a lavender bloodred almost ready to go, but she's a little persnickety...

Yeah, Leoric is just getting over his snappy phase after having been with us now for about three months. He was vicious when I first received him, but he's calmed considerably with handling and I can finally allow my son to handle him.

I will look up what Steve has, but this likely won't be a purchase in the making until roughly October - December (depending on if I get it for my bday or Christmas). Maybe September if I can convince the wife to let me get an, "early" gift, haha.

I just was trying to get an idea of who hatches them so I could be on the lookout when the time comes.

Not to butt in but I am looking into orchids as well what is the stargazing trait till now I thought it was a morph but by the context I feel I am wrong.

Stargazing is a recessive neurologic condition. Snakes with 1 copy of the gene have normal mentations, but snakes with 2 copies have problems telling which way is "up" and often corkscrew. It is a heritable vestibular syndrome. It first popped up in the sunkissed line.
