anyone here into martial arts?

theres a local ninjutsu school that im thinking of checking out

I took Ishen-Ru Karate for about three years when I was younger. Enjoyed the art and probably should have stayed with Karate, but my family moved and I didn't want to go to a new Dojo.

I took Jujitsu for about a year - loved the art, hated the dojo and it's instructors. Far too arrogant for my tastes.

Lastly, I took Ryukyu Kempo for several years, one on one with a Master. I'm really thinking about enrolling in the local dojo here to continue my training, but...boy it's a hard art and I suck pretty badly at it.

I'd advise looking into an art that was built around defense, as opposed to offense. Most every art Instructor will tell you it's 'all for self-defense' but there are some arts that were invented, practiced, and utilized as an offensive art. There's nothing wrong with that, but THOSE arts are the hardest on you, both physically and mentally.

Good luck. :)
