I have seen 3 of these on my trips up to the Bruce Peninsula over the years.
I did take some pics of one soaking up the heat on the side of a paved road one day....... I initially thought it was dead but it started moving and rattling when i approached it, i took a few pics on my cell but cannot find them now.
I thought it was odd that my passenger would not even get out of the vehicle for a closer look at something we don't normally see where we live, especially something as cool as a rattle snake !
Next time I will be sure to get some decent pictures and post them.
