May be kind of a stupid question, but...

Do any of you know how big a female corn has to be in relation to the male for breeding? I'm talking in terms of physical size, not weight. My boy Henry is around five feet long, and my female, Gwen is about half his size in terms of thickness, and four feet in length. She's already bred and laid eggs once before, a few months before I got her, so I know she's big enough to breed, but I'm a little worried about how the male is bigger than her. Would cannibalism be a concern? Like stated before, it's probably a stupid question.

I'll post their weights soon for more of a reference; I just seem to have misplaced my recordkeeping book, and I can't remember the exact weights in grams... :p

Not a stupid question at all. I've been trying to dig up good info on that myself. My best friend and I have intentions of breeding our corns but I know my girl is too small as of yet, but I need to know when she will be big enough. Khaz (the male) is also like 5 feet long and my girl is still at about 3 feet.

They should be fine. I have only heard of one instance of cannibalism in breeding cornsnakes, and that was a trio who were cohabbed. If you put the snakes together, and keep an eye on them discretely, you will see how they react to each other. They generally mate within 10-15 minutes, if they are going to. They certainly don't need to be together for more than 30-60 minutes- if they don't mate, try again in a week.

I can't add much but my boy corn snake is also named Henry ♥

I just think it's a great snake name.

Thanks. I wanted to find out before the breeding season is over. :)

Haha, that's awesome. :D My brother's fiancee actually named my guy; he used to be called "Moq," which is the Elvish word for "Snake." :p

Oops, posted that before I was done writing, and the edit post button isn't working for me. :p I also meant to add that I think I'll breed them this year after all. :)
