Maybe Mites?

As a couple of you may have seen in my last post, Vash was about to go through his first shed in his new home. It went perfectly (the shed was in one piece, but I accidentally ripped it when taking it out of his tank-which I'm a little bummed about). But, I've noticed this black dot on his head ever since the shed that wasn't there beforehand (to the left of his "steeple" marking). I can't tell if it's a mite, or if I'm just a paranoid pet mom. Please let me know what you think, and also what the best steps are to care for mites in the event that he has them.
Thank you!

Yes.... it wasn't there until just after he shed, and I haven't seen any other spots on him, so I'm not sure if it's a mite or not...

Just noticed the first response you had daddio. So not a mite then? Because that would certainly be a relief!

Update!

I spoke with my local snake gurus, and they think it's a scab from his shed (there was discoloration on the shed in that general vicinity). If course, I've been keeping an eye on it, but they said that it should go away on his next shed if it healed properly.

Your local gurus sound like gurus to me. The scab should heal and it should all go away with the next shed.
