I would like to introduce you all to "Ahyoka" my newly aquired amelanistic corn. She is 15 yrs old, although she is rather small for her age as she was rescued from an elderly couple, who through lack of knowledge were only feeding her once a month...???
I named her Ahyoka as it is a native American name meaning "She brought pleasure". She is my first snake but will definately not be my last. I could have bought a much younger and healthier looking male snake but when I heard her sad story from the store I bought her from and that no one wanted to buy her coz "She's too old", I just had to give her a good home. the way I see it... I can spend some time learning from an older woman before I take on a younger, feisty one. Lol. Anyway I'm a new member of this forum site. I joined as my knowledge of snake care is barely minimal so I'll probably be asking quite a few questions over the next few weeks.
