Meet Ahyoka

I would like to introduce you all to "Ahyoka" my newly aquired amelanistic corn. She is 15 yrs old, although she is rather small for her age as she was rescued from an elderly couple, who through lack of knowledge were only feeding her once a month...???
I named her Ahyoka as it is a native American name meaning "She brought pleasure". She is my first snake but will definately not be my last. I could have bought a much younger and healthier looking male snake but when I heard her sad story from the store I bought her from and that no one wanted to buy her coz "She's too old", I just had to give her a good home. the way I see it... I can spend some time learning from an older woman before I take on a younger, feisty one. Lol. Anyway I'm a new member of this forum site. I joined as my knowledge of snake care is quite minimal so I'll probably be asking quite a few questions over the next few weeks. please feel free to check my profile and befriend me. I have joined a group on here for UK owners that seems to have had no input lately and I will be looking to get that off the ground. Need to get hold of cornfklake86 who started the group also. Hope to speak soon.

That's a beautiful closeup pic. I like the angle of the pic and how her head is tilted. It makes her head appear elongated, narrow, and kind of like a vicious venomous snake!
