Patients took over asylum
A few weeks ago, I went into the bathroom at about 3am and as I sat doing what one has to do, I noticed this large spider. For some reason in my half-asleep stupor, I decided I didn't have the heart to send the cats after it. So, after finishing up my business, I rushed to get a deli cup from the reptile room. I'm now the owner of a spider for the winter, assuming she lives that long.
I finally identified it. It's just a harmless funnel spider aka grass spider. If I can keep the stupid thing alive until June I'll let her go, though I'm sure she'll miss eating all those waxworms. I won't be surprised if she grows to be the size of a tarantula on that diet. I must get her some crickets.
Wait... am I crazy for planning a special trip to the pet store for a house spider?
And who wants pictures?
