Meet Tara....#3, and I've been told that's it :-)

Ok so checked out craigslist whilst at work this morning, and came across an ad for a 3 footer for $20 with cage -- which was just enough information for me to have to email the party.

So I get pictures, and I get the story, and after a nice 100 mile drive & meeting these really great people, I now have #3 -- Tara. I got her, her house, some great conversation with some really cool people, and 6 boxes of girl scout cookies for $23 :) Needless to say, I'm pretty happy right now.

She's got GREAT muscle tone, is inquisitive as all get out, and hopefully gonna love it here. She's about 3 1/2' long and 420g, and has an almost perfect heart on her head.

I keep saying she, but no one really knows for sure, and figure since I call Fuzzy and Noodle "he," I'm good with having a "she."

$20 BUCKS WITH THE CAGE? That's awesome :D Little ways to drive tho and got suckered into the cookies too lol Beautiful snake :D

WOW great deal!!! And she is nice and healthy looking, so much different than what is usually found on craigslist... Congrats!! :)

Love the snake! And the fact that you made it out of there with some girl scout cookies!

Everyone seems to be having such good Craigslist finds. :)

I think shes beautiful. Although telling sex by under the tail isn't 100% I would guess that "she" may be a "he" judging from pic.#4. I could be wrong know way to know positively till probed. Good luck with your new beauty.

Lovely corn! Be careful when feeding your new addition though. She looks rather plump, and could even be starting to develop fatty deposits aka "hips". It's evident in the third picture around the cloaca area.

I would put her on a bi weekly diet of 1 medium mouse or so and keep her moving when shes not digesting :) A few months of that and she should be perfectly toned up!

That's entirely possible, just as it's entirely possible my other two are "she"s LOL They're pets, so as long they dont get self-conscious about me labeling their gender, I'm ok with it.

I noticed that too when I was checking out some these pics as well as some of the other ones I took last night before bedding her down. I know that the previous owner had been feeding her "1 to 2 times per week" - which obviously is a bit for one this size. Once I get her settled, will be following a more regimented diet with her, and see what her weight does after a few feedings. Thanks!

I never have that kind of luck on CL and I am on there every day searching through 3 cities w/in driving distance. Nice score on the cookies, too. I LOVE shortbreads and thanks-a-lots.

Yep it was definitely a great score. She is an absolute sweetheart --and my first box of Samoas is already gone :)

Haha, I wish I could find corns on my local Craigslist, it's mostly pythons and ads for people "willing to take free snakes" from everyone. :p

I think my craigslist find is a bit chunky, too. I've pared him down to biweekly feedings and mucho handling when he's not digesting. Glad to hear I'm doing it right.

Man, what a great find!!!

That's my plan with her :)

Yesterday was a big day for all three of them, had one shed, got two fed, and got this one moved into a bigger home - she's got some room to stretch out a little bit now :)
