I am not an expert, but I think it looks more like hypo than Miami. It would be easier to tell if it was hypo if you had a picture of its underside. I am not good at telling some morphs apart. :p

I would say normal too. Just a rather light specimen. Too much black for a hypo, too much ground colour for a miami.

Tank you for the precious opinions. It may be normal... I want to try to see the pattern of the underside.

They should be more brown/orange and not black.

Heres comparison pictures.

IMO...I would call it a beautiful, wild caught normal specimen. Very pretty, but to much black to call it a hypo and to much grundclor to call it Miami Phase.

Unleass you can verify the hypomelanism through breeding trials, I just don't see it as a hypo...

I would think that being caught in Japan there is no way it could be a Miami phase.. Just my 2 cents... Very pretty though..

Yeah, obviously it was an escape from someone, so it really doesn't HAVE to be either Miami or Hypo. Lacking further evidence to the contrary, I would simply label it as a "normal". Chances are it was not wild caught and then shipped to Japan, so it is probably a cull from a breeder, meaning it is quite likely a gene carrier of something....
