Mice to rats

I just recently aquired an adult (about 4.5 years old/ ~4' long) and was wondering feeder size wise- what size rat is comparable to mouse? She downed an adult mouse no problems and had a very slight bump in her belly, you have to look really hard to notice. Looking at rodent pro it looks like the pups would be about the same size, and the weaned a tad larger. Is this correct? What are your full growns eating?

also- she will be worked up to larger as she wasn't feed/kept the best by her prior owner so she'll be on the adult mice for a little while as I still have 10 more sitting in the freezer to make sure she's eating good.

RodentPro lists the weights of their different sized rodents, so just see what the weight of adult mice are and find the appropriate sized rat.

My adult corns eat adult to the occasional jumbo adult mice, and they'll eat a hopper rat if I have them. There really isn't any need for you to switch to rats at this stage in your snakes life, unless you want to. Younger snakes do seem to grow faster when fed appropriately sized rats, though, but there isnt any hard evidence to support this. I know my 04's last year took off when I fed them rat pinks w/ slits cut in them to help facilitate digestion over my "cool season" (I drop my temps @ 10 degrees F from mid Sept to Jan 1 and feed smaller prey items/less frequently).

OK that works for me then. The adult mouse she got seemed to leave no visibil bump but I'll check online for some larger adult mice then. Thanks.
