Sheesh, I got my Spiny mice back in early Dec. last year, and they are only just producing now. There are four babies. They have alien eyes, LOL!

Is that a certain kind of mouse or is spiny mouse a nickname? I do think this one looks different from regular mice...
 
yes, spiny mice are a type of mouse. They skip the pinky stage and are born with fur. their fur also gets rather spine like as the grow up.
 
Wow! Congrats Traci, I just now found this thread. They are so cool looking and I'll miss having them around. I gave the remainder of my colony to CaptnBogart, as he has started a colony of his own as well :cheers:
