Missing snakes!

Molls

Somehow, both me and my sister's snakes have escaped, sometime in the past 4 or so days. (I took mine out to feed her on the 6th, and since then I haven't had much time to hold her with school) This is just bizarre, because our snakes are kept in separate tanks, and the lid on my sister's tank is very secure, and while mine isn't, I'm always careful to secure it all the way.
We're looking for them now, and so far no luck. I'm kind of starting to panic. What if they slithered down into the vents? Or found a way outside?
Also, with two snakes on the loose, who knows what will happen if they somehow come face to face with each other. I don't want any fights to happen.

Anyway, most of this post is just panicked rambling, really why I'm posting this is to ask if any of you have any tips for finding list snakes? We've turned the heat down in our house quite a bit, and set out towels that have been warmed up in the microwave in an attempt to draw them out. Anything else? At this point I'll take just about anything.

Ok, I've scattered some flour around the floor, and I'm going to pick up any and all clothes that are on the floor. I just hope I find them before our cats do. :C

if they eat F/T you can leave a prey item out inside a cage, if you add the heat source, then after a meal, the snake will probably stay inside the cage on the heat source to digest.

Also on another thread, they say to use painters tape (only that kind) putting it sticky side up along the walls, snakes will travel the walls if at all possible, check all tape 2-3 times/day to minimize the amount of time the snake may be stuck to it. Use oil when removing snake from the tape, go very slowly so no damage is done to the skin!!

I don't think you need to worry about their interaction if they meet. There won't be any fighting.

I hope you find them both soon so they are safe from the cats.

Oh, ok. That's good to know.
Still no luck. :( I'm trying to think of any other dark, warm places in my house.

Put out some light tape like painters tape around baseboards and on the back of appliances, try looking under the stove, they are going to like dark and warm.

Hey! Watch your cats' behavior. They'll find them for you! I'd just make sure you keep the cats locked up overnight when you cannot watch them. Hope you find them!
