ive had my baby amel 4 about 31 days and i want to know what are the best ways to get him to shed in 1 piece he hasnt gone in blue yet but anytime now

Well if you think he's gonna shed, there's really nothing you need to do... Unless your humidity is off. I live in SoCal as well and I don't think you should have a problem, but just make sure the humidity stays somewhere between 40-50%

I offered a moist hide which neither snake used. I misted both vivs once a day when I changed water and placed the water bowls nearer the UTH. My humidity waffled around 40-45%. I danced on pins and needles the days they shed as it was still within 48 hours of eating; and I don't handle then.

In spite of my fears, they both shed just fine within a day of each other. Zoose in one piece, Contessa in three.

I deal with very low humidity in the winters here, and I found that a moist hide did the trick perfectly. My snow's first shed was in many pieces, but since putting in the moist hide, they've been perfect! I keep the moist hides in every day, mostly because I am still learning to tell when my snow is in blue (its easy with the normal). She goes to the hide whenever she needs it.
