misting

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe misting is only necessary when the snake is preparing to shed. The humidity helps them shed more completely/easily. I don't believe they need daily misting. I didn't find anything in the Corn Snake Manual about misting other than for shedding.

If your corn isn't having sheding problems. I wouldn't mist at all. To much humidity may cause respritory problems and would promote mold growth.

I've only ever misted during times of shedding, and I personally believe that a moist hide is preferable to misting.

Misting

The only times I will mist, is when I have a problem shedder. I also mist when I put a male and female to mate. According to Kathy Love, it might prompt breeding due to making the pheremones more noticiable. I seem to have goodluck with it. REG
