molting

You will see your snake darken, then 2 days after that your snakes eyes will turn blue, then 2-3 days after that your snake will shed, but this is only a aprozamation (sp?). As long as its humide in the tank. He will shed fine. If his skin comes off in little pieces, Just sock him in luke-warm water and then with a damp cloth rub the skin off softly.

Good Luck

Alex

Keep the humidity up, always make sure he/she has fresh water in its dish in case it likes to soak. youll know its about to shed when they eyes clear after taking on a milky, whiteness for a few days.

Put a second water bowl in in the hot end of his tank, So that you have 1 water bowl in the cool end and another water bowl in the hot end. Only put a water bowl in the hot end when your snake is in shed.

When they're near shed, I also keep a wet paper towel in the viv, and mist the tank and branches once a day. Usually about the time they're about to shed, they climb under the towel and soak. You can also add a hide with some damp moss in it.

humidity

I just mist the cage with warm water once a day. especially during the week of the shed. this seems to work well as i have never had a shed that didnt come off in one complete piece.

I have a metal screen too but i took a few pieces of newspaper and poked holes in it and formed it under the lid so it would keep the heat/humidity in.
