He's my first corn snake. Actually my first snake.. ever.
xD
So yeah, he's an okeetee i think. yes.
He's about a month old.
Actually, I don't know if it's a he or a she but I'm saying it's a he.
I named it Momo because it works for both genders, lol.
And I'm kind of a nerd and I got it from Avatar, the last airbender.
xD

Here's some pics I managed to get before he started hiding.

:] he's so cute. What do you guys think? :crazy02:

Yes, haha. I like the set up alot too.
I just got a branch from my yard and some of my mom's old fake plants.. And it looked pretty nice. xD

Congrats!! Looks just like our first snake. Be warned though, once you start with pet snakes, you get hooked. They work with your mind, and will subliminally tell you... "buy another snake, buy just one more..." :) Ours did that and we have two snakes now and I'm looking at a possible 3rd; just need to work on the wife a little - who loves both of them but thinks two is enough; I say, bull, there are just too many cool snakes out there.

That's a beautiful set up! I'm kind of concerned though, because it looks from the picture (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that the light is the main heat source. This is not recommended for corns. While it's nice to have a display light lights are not the most effective way of creating a healthy environment for your corn snake.

Under the tank heaters are much better. In the past I've found the easiest way to obtain an under the tank heater is a human heating pad without an automatic shut off. Place this under half of the tank and leave it on medium. You can change the temps if necessary by regulating them with a home made rheostat, or at least check the temperatures with a thermometer and change the heating pad's settings from low to med to high. Generally I've found that medium works just fine.

Also, it's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like your snake would be best classified as a Normal.

In the pic of the cage, there's a cord running under the cage as well as a dimmer, so I'm guessing there's a UTH. :)

Lovely set up. And for the record UTH is not the only way. It's not like a UTH follows a snake around in the wild everywhere it goes to keep its tummy warm. They have to rely on heat from the sun. :shrugs: Just my opinion. I do however, use a UTH with all my snakes (even use a human heating pad, works great) as it seems more effective when you have more than one snake. :D

Your corn is going to be very spoiled! I can see it already! ;) Welcome to CS.com and to snakes! You're going to love it!

Yeah I use a UTH.
The light is just one of those energy swirly ones so I can see him better.
xD

Oo, that new series looks pretty awesome.. xD I'm excited now!
I really like those names you have for your snakes too xD!
Woot! lol
:]

Very very cute snake and setup! But I wouldn't let the light touch the screen like that, even if it's not a heat lamp it could burn your snake if she rubs against the screen.
