more active after feeding

Is it common for a corn to become more active after feedings? It seems I see my baby out a lot more after I feed her.
I know they need the warm end of the tank to help with meal digestion, but she will go between warmer and cooler side. She'll poke her head out of her hide and sometimes just sit out where I can see her.
This will last for several hours after feeding......
Is it possible this is just a normal part of the digestion process?

I think it is more of a behavioral response that could be compared to a "feeding frenzy". I have seen this in some corns, but not in others. In the wild, not every meal is guaranteed to arrive on schedule. In order to increase the likelihood of survival, the little guy want to make sure that he gets enough food to meet needs until the next meal becomes available.

Of course this is only my opinion and is based on my semi-professional status as a herp watcher. It isn't backed by even a single data point of scientific proof. ;)

It sounds good to me CAV. I have one little girl who will strike out after food everytime I lift her hide. I think that is what she is doing, as well. I honestly believe she would eat until she killed herself. Death by fuzzys...

By the way, I've learned to keep my fingers away from the opening of the hide...

LMAO! I'm sorry CornCrazy, but I can just invision this hungry little corn striking out like a hungry baby bird! But I guess if it were my fingers that might not be funnyat all!!

Thanks for the advice. It makes sense.
And especially now that I'm starting to realize my poor baby could have been eating fuzzies instead of the one and now 2 pinkies I'm feeding her once a week.
That was the "feed me more" pace she was doing probably! Checking all the corners to make certain I hadn't dropped any hidden pinkies! those sneaky pinkies! LOL!
