Morph question????

I am fairly new to this color morph breeding thing, needless to say I am astounded by the many color combos that are possible. I ususally just breed normal looking snakes. But my kids like the colorful variety of corns, so now I have some in our collection. So if I am informed correctly, an "Oak Phase" is the product of a "Miami/hypo/crimson" or easier how would I get "Oak phase" if I had a pair of "Miamis', 1 male Hypo, & a female Crimson...and what do the various hets that they have mean? Will it affect the end result in obtaining Oak phases.

If you breed a hypo and a crimson you will just get normals het hypo. Miamis are just normals that have been linebred for the silvery background color so they will just produce normal babies.
The "Oak Phase" was something someone found...it can't be produced yet unless you get some of the animals from VMS. The odds of hitting that same lottery with a random hypo and miami are astronomical.

OOPS...this was Tara not Lauren. I didn't realise she was logged in. Sorry folks.

...

My hypo and crimson are both vms stock, and my 2 miamis are bhb(not that that means anything..lol). Im not understanding where the genetics for the oak phase come from, what was bred to produce the oak phase was it just and abberant that hatched and used to start the line.

The oak phase that VMS hatched out were a surprise finding and will be tested against buf as the presentation is almost identical. At present, the exact genetics of the oak phase are unknown.
