I have an adult pair, snow male, albino female. I know about genetics when it comes to boas, but not with corns. I am asuming anery and amel are recessive. So,I would get albinos het anery, right. With boas motley is codom, corns it is recessive. What is codom in corns and what is recessive? Thanks,

Hi and welcome to CS.com
I have an adult pair, snow male, albino female. I know about genetics when it comes to boas, but not with corns. I am asuming anery and amel are recessive. So,I would get albinos het anery, right.
This is correct pending the Amel is not het for Anery as well. If you breed your Snow to your Amel all the babies will be Amel het Anery barring any hidden hets. If the Amel is het for Anery you will get Amel, Anery and Snow in the clutch.
With boas motley is codom, corns it is recessive. What is codom in corns and what is recessive? Thanks,
There really isn't any "co-dom" traits in Cornsnakes perse. The Ultra gene falls at the same loci as Amel when mixed and will produce Amel and Ultramel in the F1's. Stripe and Motley are found at the same loci as well but Motley being dominant over Stripe when bred together will produce a clutch of Motley 100% het Stripe. There is a theory/debate about the Bloodred trait being a co-dom trait. Meaning, some Normal Corns are expressing some of the traits that a Bloodred would exhibit. These snakes tend to be in fact 100% het Bloodred. There are a lot of co-dom traits in Boids and Pythons. There probably are a few co-dom traits in Cornsnakes as well but they just haven't been found yet. ;)
Hope this helps.

There's a really good book called Cornsnake Morph Guide that explains cornsnake genetics simply and clearly. A new edition is published yearly.
