mouse meets snake... and lives!

corn on the cob
this is my snakes second feeding since i got him. i put the mouse in the cage and waitched as the snake caught the mouse and began constricting it, suddenly the mouse jumped clean out of the snakes grasp. now the snake seems to be afraid of the mouse, keeping as far away from it as possible eventually i took the mouse out of the cage but, any ideas to get him to eat it? :madeuce:

Get him a F/T or pre-killed mouse.

Kinder to the mouse.
Safer for the snake.
Cheaper in the long run (I have over 600 frozen mice in my freezer!)

I agree.
But now.....try waiting a week before introducing it to a f/t meal cause the snake is stressed and needs to be calm before you feed it again.
