Movin' On Up .... Maybe

So Im glad to read all the other posts about their snakes feeding well. That makes me happy for you all. Alright down to business, Corncob just turned 5 months and is getting super crazy. I find her crusint a lot, hanging in her tree and trying to get out or at least she is as far as she can come to getting out. All within this last month has she become really active and not hid until night. Well a month ago I switched her to a 5 day pinky schedule and I think maybe it is time to move on up. She has always been a great feeder and usually can swallow a pinky in under a minute and tonight was no different. In fact tonight she finished it faster than I thought and the lump is gone in about 2.5 days at max. Should I try to move up to fuzzies when I run out of these last two frozen pinkys in 15 days? Or should I just keep her on these for a while longer. She is probably 18-20 inches long and more than half an inch thick. Thanks for the advice.

I would feed her both pinkies at next feeding, then move up to fuzzies, that way you dont waste the pinkies. :)

Yeah, I would go with two pinkies for a while and then to fuzzies. My snake is only around 14 inches and is on peach fuzzies already so yours is probably ready.

Shes a monster so I think I will try both pinkies next time and then the following week move her to a small fuzzy ( where i get them they are a little bigger than a pink with small fuzz on them)

You said 2.5 days for the lump to "go away" ??,that seems like a long time,no ??.My snake is "lump free" by 36 hours. She has always been like this,,from one pinkie,,to 2 at a time,,and now on fuzzies, same thing.I chalk the fast digestion up to my prey "slitting" :grin01:

Well, 2 days is about the digestion time for a pinkie, of course before that the lump disappears, since the digested matter spreads downwards.
