Moving up from pinkies to fuzzies

I have had my snake for a couple weeks and have been feeding it pinkies every thursday. I fed it yesterday afternoon, and today there was no noticable lump so I am thinking it is time to move up to fuzzies, but the problem is I have 2 more pinkies left in my current package.

Should I feed it a pinkie on monday, then on thursday and then move to a fuzzy on the next thursday and keep a regular feeding schedule, or should I feed it the remaining 2 pinkies next thursday and then go to fuzzies after that?? I just think that 2 pinkies might be a bit much all in one day, and I would like to keep the feed schedule the same if I could because it fits really well with my work/school schedule so I can supervise the feedings for the first few months to make sure everything is going well.

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago...I noticed no visible lump after 24 hours following a pinky, and via advice I'd found here, I started to go on a 2-pinkies-per-feeding schedule...and my Maizie is a pro with it. :) You'd be surprised how much those lil'guys can take! (Did you see the photo of the python that swallowed an ewe??? Amazing! I posted the link to the photo in the Misc forum, I believe...) So, in order to prepare Maizie for a fuzzy, s/he's having 2 pinkies at a time until that starts to appear like no biggie...and then I'll know that s/he's ready for a fuzzy. It's only been that way for 3 feedings now, so I'll see how s/he's doing in probably another month...but, it does take him/her at least 48 hours to digest, and then s/he pops back out again to be social. :) So, we'll see...but I would do 2 pinkies for about 6 feedings (the advice given to me) before advancing to a fuzzy...but then again, it's your snake, so perhaps you know best. :)

I agree as well...!
Good luck...

My blizzard recently stepped up to fuzzies..

It was on 2 pinkies when i bought it and i noticed there was no noticable lump 20-24 hours after feeding so i gave it 3 pinkies the next feed to see if it was ready to step up to fuzzies and it took the 3 pinkies in seconds with no probs...

since then its been on 2 fuzzies every 4-5 days and has had no problems what so ever..

So, With your i would wait till next feed and start giving it 2 pinkies per feed for a month or so then step it up to fuzzies when 2pinkies are not noticable any more .. :)

Good luck
