Moving With Snake

Over the next year, I'll be moving approximately every 4 months and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with snakes that moved a lot.
If this would be an issue and could potentially negatively affect my snake, I'd leave him with a friend until I'm settled down a bit. I would be keeping the same tank/setup.

Will you be moving within driving distance? If so, just take him in his viv. If you are moving cross country often I might leave him with a friend.

my husband and i moved from california to missouri, in december of '10. we had two corn snakes and a lizard to move. what we did was get a shoe size plastic box, drilled holes on top (we drilled a bunch of small holes) put them together in a pillow case and kept them in the cab with us with the heater running. did the same with the lizard. we drove 3 days like that. when we reached our destination we took their vavariums out and set that up first. not a one died.

ps stop food at least 3 days before the move. i power fed the week before then stoped their food till we got into our new place. they could get aggitated and throw up food. stress free is the best way
