Moving with Snakes

Neonate

Snake Lover
I'm going to be moving soon, and I am taking my snakes. I saw a post about moving with snakes before but I couldn't find it from doing a search. So far, I am planning on putting them in sterilite containers with some aspen. I am wondering if I need to give them water in the containers. It is going to be a 12 hour drive, but a lot of it is on a curvy road and I am imagining that the water is just going to spill out of the dish. Will they be okay without water during the drive? Is there anything else I need to keep in mind for the trip? Thanks!

I am not sure what thread you found but I will add to this one as well. The best way to do this is how shippers do it. Place your adult snakes in bags (old pillow cases), unless you have tropical snakes right now, you should be fine in moving. Keep them in a nice cool, but warm area (no extreme heat) and you should be fine. A styrofoam cooler for about 3-5 bucks should be all you need as a transport container to keep your bags in. Cages, I would fully dismantle and place all bowls and hides in a box and wrapped in paper so nothing gets broken.
