Hello! First off, we are newbie snake owners. I have already learned so much from this site! We just got a beautiful amel 5 days ago. We weighed and measured her today and she is about 32 inches and 127 grams. We were told she was a year old. Her previous owner has been feeding regular fuzzies once every 7 days and we fed her one on Wednesday. According to the Munson Feeding plan, she should be eating weanlings. That's 2 sizes up. The fuzzies do seem the be as wide as her widest part, but I'm a novice. I noticed that she had no visible lump within 24 hours of feeding, but I haven't seen any poops yet. I have read a lot of things that say she would be digesting for 48-72 hrs. Maybe that's a sign that she needs the next size up?
So here are my questions:
1) Should I bump her up? Slowly transition over the next few weeks/months to the weanlings?
2) Should I stick with reg fuzzies and feed every 5 days? If so, that would be tomorrow. Should she poop between the two feedings?
3) Do these weights and measurements seem typical for a one year old corn? Is there no way to know because of variances in husbandry?
What would you do?
