What could be cooler than finding a black racer in the pool?

Finding 2 black racers of course!

Can't blame them, it's been averaging around 97 degrees here lately. When I first got out there, they were both in the pool. Once they sensed me they got out and started trying to find their way out of the screen enclosure. Not being the brightest bulbs in the lamp, they haven't figured it out yet.

Neither big or clever.... LOL

Part 2

We've had some heavy rains here lately and noticed the fill level of the pool was a bit high.
So as I was letting some water out of the pool, I lifted the cover of the skimmer and found this poor little guy frantically trying to get out.
I gave him a helping hand.

Eastern Ringneck with a broken ring!
